The ASEM Global Ageing Center hosts the 5th ASEM Forum on the Human Rights of Older Persons: Present and Future, to be held on 20 August 2025, in collaboration with the National Human Rights Commission of Korea (NHRCK) and the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Korea.

 

This year's Forum, themed  ‘Unmasking Ageism: Cultural Realities, Systemic Barriers, and the Case for Change’, will serve as a platform for cross-regional dialogue, aiming to deepen understanding of ageism and its root causes. By sharing practical insights and innovative policy approaches, the Forum aspires to inspire meaningful shifts in societal perceptions and attitudes toward ageing.
